Database Administrator - SQL Server/MySQL

Responsibilities :

- Perform database installation, configuration, patching, backup & recovery, high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and performance tuning.

- Support cloud migration projects, including database assessments, migrations (DMS, SCT, native tools), and post-migration performance stabilization.

- Implement security best practices, including encryption, auditing, and access control (IAM roles, KMS, etc.).

- Develop and maintain automation scripts for operational tasks using Terraform, CloudFormation, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

- Monitor database systems proactively and respond to incidents, alerts, and performance issues.

- Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and Application Development teams to ensure database performance and stability.

- Stay current on cloud services, emerging database technologies, and best practices.

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in RDBMS: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL.

- Experience with NoSQL databases: MongoDB, DynamoDB, CosmosDB.

- Hands-on knowledge of AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, DMS) or Azure (SQL Database, Managed Instance, Blob Storage).

Education & Experience :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 3+ years of professional experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).

- 2+ years of experience managing cloud database platforms.
