- In this role, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing our database environments to ensure high performance, availability, and data integrity.

- You'll collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders to support existing systems and design future-ready data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., SQL Server or similar).

- Monitor database performance and implement tuning measures for optimal efficiency and scalability.

- Manage database security, access control, and backup/recovery strategies.

- Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations.

- Develop and maintain database documentation, including schemas, procedures, and best practices.

- Support application development teams with query optimization, schema design, and data modeling.

- Implement and maintain high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and replication solutions.

- Perform regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with data governance policies.

- Troubleshoot database issues and provide on-call support as needed.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 5 - 8 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator.

- Proficiency in at least one major RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server).

- Experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.

- Strong understanding of database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.

- Hands-on experience with cloud database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, GCP Cloud SQL) is a plus.

- Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with database monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, SolarWinds).

- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.

- Exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) is a plus.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
