Database Administrator - SQL Server

Responsibilities :

- Design and architect robust database solutions for scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.

- Lead MySQL database administration, performance tuning, and complex query optimization.

- Define and implement Cloud DB strategies (AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure Database, GCP Cloud SQL, etc. ).

- Oversee database migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.

- Develop and review OS-level automation scripts for monitoring, maintenance, and deployment.

- Collaborate with DevOps, application, and infrastructure teams for seamless integration.

- Ensure database security, compliance, and governance standards are met.

- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior DBAs and developers.

- Drive continuous improvement in database processes, tools, and infrastructure.

Requirements :

- 12+ years of professional experience in MySQL database administration and architecture.

- Proven expertise with cloud database solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems and advanced scripting (Bash, Shell, Python, or similar).

- Deep understanding of performance tuning, indexing strategies, query optimization, and replication/clustering.

- Experience handling large-scale, high-transaction databases.

- Strong leadership skills with experience managing database teams or large projects.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to NoSQL technologies (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).

- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
