Job Description :

- 2+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator

- Solid understanding of SQL scripting and stored procedures

- Knowledge of database monitoring and performance tuning tools

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Candidates with experience using Azure SQL Instances preferred.

- Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance.

- Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data.

- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

- Optimize SQL queries and database structure for maximum efficiency.

- Collaborate with development teams to design database solutions that meet business needs.

- Ensure database security and compliance with industry standards.

- Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including updates and patches.

- Manage SQL Server databases.

- End to end migration of SQL Databases Discover, Assess, Migrate & Optimize

- Configure and maintain database servers and processes.

- Monitor system's health and performance.

- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.

- Analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time.

- Provide suggestions for solutions.

- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.

- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.

- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

- Monitoring of database performance and stability

- Establish the baseline for system performance, recognize deviation, and suggest and implement improvements to slow running queries

- Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.

- Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with the engineering team.

- Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.

- Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.

Skills and Qualifications :

- Proficiency in SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle databases.

- Strong understanding of database security, backups, and recovery processes.

- Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance tuning.

- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
