About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, secure, and optimize both relational and NoSQL databases in a cloud environment. The role demands expertise in database performance tuning, automation, and building robust data pipelines to support AI-driven applications and business-critical processes.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs) :

- Administer, monitor, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases for high availability and performance.

- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and streaming processes for real-time and batch data.

- Ensure database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and query optimization.

- Implement automation scripts using Shell/PowerShell/Python for operational efficiency.

- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support application integration with databases.

- Maintain data integrity, compliance, and security standards.

- Provide database support for deployments, upgrades, and patch management.

- Troubleshoot database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.

- Stay updated on emerging database technologies, tools, and AI-driven data management solutions.

Required Skillsets :

- Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.

- Proficiency in database administration, replication, clustering, and sharding.

- Experience in data pipelines, streaming technologies, and ETL processes.

- Proficiency in Python for database scripting, automation, and AI/ML data integration.

- Strong skills in Shell scripting / PowerShell automation.

- Expertise in database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

- Knowledge of cloud-hosted databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL).

- Understanding of database security, encryption, and compliance standards.

- Familiarity with AI/ML-driven data workflows is a plus.
