Job Title : Database Administrator (DBA)

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize our data environment across MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, strong performance, and smooth operations of all databases used across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and administer MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases.

- Perform regular health checks, performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

- Manage database backup strategies, restore procedures, replication, and failover setups.

- Monitor database performance using tools and implement proactive improvements.

- Ensure database security, user access management, and data protection policies.

- Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and version control.

- Work closely with development and DevOps teams to support application requirements.

- Manage and optimize databases hosted on AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Backup).

- Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide root-cause analysis.

- Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and maintenance activities.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB administration.

- Solid understanding of AWS Cloud services related to databases.

- Expertise in SQL query writing, optimization, and performance troubleshooting.

- Experience with high availability, clustering, replication, and sharding.

- Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments.

- Ability to handle production environments and 24/7 availability when needed.

Preferred Skills :

- Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python).

- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).

- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)
