Database Administrator - Oracle DB/PostgreSQL

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator with 35 years of hands-on experience managing both Oracle and PostgreSQL databases in production environments. This is a hybrid/remote opportunity for candidates ready to take on critical database responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities :

- Handle backup and recovery using tools like RMAN, pg_dump

- Set up and manage replication

- Perform query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning

- Manage Linux-based database servers

- Support DevOps automation with shell scripts

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong in SQL, PL/SQL, and PL/pgSQL

Familiarity with tools :

- pgAdmin, psql, AWR, RMAN

- Shell scripting for automation

Monitoring tools :

- Nagios, Zabbix, or similar

Nice to Have :

- Experience in Fintech, Telecom, or high-transaction systems

- Exposure to cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud)
