Database Administrator - MySQL/SQL Server

Title : DBA

Job Location : Anywhere in India but not remote

Experience : 6+ yrs

Notice : maximum 30 days

Requirement Details :

- Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience as a DBA

- Strong knowledge of MS-SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in MS SQL Server database administration.

- Strong proficiency in T-SQL, query tuning, and indexing strategies.

- Expertise in SQL Server architecture, internals, and performance optimization.

- Hands-on experience with AlwaysOn Availability Groups and Windows Failover Clustering.

- MS SQL Server Administration certification.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have :

- Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or other DBMS platforms.

- Experience working with Microsoft Azure or other cloud environments.

- Exposure to SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.

- Scripting experience in PowerShell or Python.

- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Experience in :

- Database operations and monitoring

- Database creation, deletion, and upgrades

- Administration and configuration

- Backup and restore procedures

- Performance tuning and optimization

- Instance whitelisting for GKE applications

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to interact directly with clients and understand their requirements

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Adaptability, flexibility, and proficiency in relevant systems and technologies are also essential qualities for success in this position.
