Job Description :

- Plan and implement database designs, including the creation and maintenance of cloud databases like SQL MI, SQL VMs, Azure SQL Databases

- Manage and monitor performance, security, and availability of databases

- Implement database backup and disaster recovery procedures like Always on etc

- Work with development teams to optimize database usage and query performance

- Maintain data integrity, implement security measures, and ensure compliance with data regulations

- Coordinate and manage migration of databases to Azure platform

- Provide technical support for database environments, including testing and installation of DBMS upgrades

- Identify and troubleshoot any database-related issues

- Document database policies, procedures, and standards, and ensure they are followed

- Perform capacity planning and demand forecasting for database system
