About the Role :

We are seeking a talented and versatile Data Scientist with Python and Django experience to join our data and analytics team. This unique role blends data science, backend development, and BI reporting to help us build data-driven applications, extract insights, and develop impactful dashboards.

The ideal candidate is comfortable building machine learning models, developing backend systems with Django, writing optimized SQL queries, and creating visualizations using Power BI.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and deploy data science models for classification, regression, clustering, and other use cases.

- Build and maintain backend systems and RESTful APIs using Python (Django framework).

- Write optimized queries in SQL/MySQL for data extraction, transformation, and storage.

- Collaborate with business teams to create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

- Work with large datasets to perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering.

- Deploy data science pipelines into production using Django-based applications.

- Develop data models to support analytics use cases and data visualization needs.

- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through presentations and visual storytelling.

- Stay updated with the latest tools and trends in machine learning, Python development, and BI.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data science and Python development.

- Strong proficiency with Python, including libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, etc.

- Solid experience in Django for backend/API development.

- Expertise in SQL/MySQL, including performance tuning and complex queries.

- Experience building Power BI dashboards and data models.

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Django REST Framework for building APIs.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for deploying models or dashboards.

- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

- Knowledge of other BI tools (Tableau, Looker) is a plus.

- Exposure to DevOps practices and version control (e.g., Git).
