We are seeking a hands-on Data Scientist specializing in Generative AI to design, build and productionize advanced deep learning models (NLP, computer vision and generative models). The successful candidate will work closely with product managers, engineers and designers to translate business and user needs into robust GenAI solutions that integrate into client-facing applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop and validate models for prediction, classification, clustering and reconstruction to address product and client use cases.

- Build, train and optimize neural network architectures for advanced use cases including NLP, image recognition and generative AI tasks.

- Design and implement generative models such as GANs, VAEs, diffusion models and transformer-based LLMs; iterate on architectures to improve generation quality and latency.

- Fine-tune and adapt large pre-trained models (e.g., GPT-family, PaLM, Stable Diffusion) for domain-specific language and image generation tasks.

- Collect, curate and preprocess datasets for supervised, self-supervised and generative model training; implement data augmentation, tokenization and encoding strategies for text and images.

- Develop APIs and microservices (using FastAPI or similar) to integrate GenAI models into web and mobile client applications; collaborate with backend and frontend teams for seamless deployment.

- Implement MLOps best practices : containerize models (Docker), orchestrate deployments (Kubernetes), track experiments and models (MLflow), and schedule pipelines (Airflow).

- Collaborate with product, design and QA teams to define performance metrics, evaluate model outputs for safety and quality, and iterate on user-facing content generation and interaction flows.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- 35 years of hands-on experience building AI and GenAI models in a product or consulting environment.

- Proficient in Python with strong software engineering practices; familiarity with R, C++ or Julia is a plus.

- Deep learning expertise with TensorFlow and PyTorch for model development and experimentation.

- Strong foundation in mathematics, probability, statistics, linear algebra and optimization techniques relevant to ML and deep learning.

- Experience with generative model families including GANs, VAEs, transformers and diffusion models; demonstrated experience fine-tuning LLMs and image generation models.

- Practical experience with NLP toolkits (Hugging Face Transformers, SpaCy, NLTK) and computer vision libraries (OpenCV, Stable Diffusion/DALLE tooling).

- Experience deploying and managing models on cloud platforms such as AWS (SageMaker), GCP (Vertex AI) or Azure.

- Familiarity with MLOps tooling : Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Airflow and continuous integration/deployment workflows.

- Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working with large-scale training on multi-GPU or TPU infrastructure and managing resource-efficient training strategies.

- Background in prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and building conversational agents or chatbots for production use.

- Contributions to open-source ML/AI projects, published papers or a portfolio demonstrating generative model work.

- Familiarity with privacy, safety and bias mitigation techniques for language and image models.

- Experience in client-facing roles or consultancy engagements, including scoping, estimation and technical demos.

- Familiarity with software engineering best practices for production code, testing and observability.
