Key Responsibilities :

- Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 2 junior data scientists, providing guidance, technical oversight, and professional development support.

- Strategic Direction : Define the technical roadmap and strategy for data science initiatives in alignment with broader business goals.

- End-to-End Project Delivery : Drive the complete lifecycle of data science projects, from problem definition and data exploration to model development, deployment, and monitoring.

- Business Impact : Work closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven insights, analytics, and AI/ML solutions that deliver significant business outcomes.

- Technical Execution : Architect and implement robust data pipelines and analytical frameworks using technologies such as Python, PySpark, and SQL.

- Advanced Analytics : Conduct in-depth analysis on complex datasets, with a particular focus on time series data, to uncover trends and patterns.

- Innovation & Research : Stay current with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning, including Generative AI, and evaluate their potential application within the company.

- Communication : Clearly communicate complex findings, methodologies, and project outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

- Experience : 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience in a data science, analytics, or AI/ML role, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end model development and deployment.

- Leadership : Proven experience leading a small team of junior data professionals.

Technical Proficiency :

- Expertise in Python for data analysis, modeling, and scripting.

- Strong knowledge of PySpark for big data processing.

- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.

- Solid experience in data engineering principles and practices.

- Specialized experience in time series data analysis is essential.

- Domain Knowledge : Experience in the financial services or stock market domain is a significant plus.

- AI/ML Knowledge : A sound understanding of machine learning principles and an awareness of recent developments in Generative AI.
