Key responsibilities :

Lead Data Privacy Projects : Drive and execute data privacy and protection initiatives, leveraging platforms like BigID and potentially integrating with or understanding the context of tools like OneTrust.

Data Discovery and Classification : Design, implement, and manage mechanisms for identifying, classifying, and mapping sensitive data across various data sources, including on-premise and cloud environments.

Privacy Program Implementation : Oversee the implementation of privacy programs, including the establishment of Record of Processing Activities (RoPA), Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR), and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA).

Tool Configuration and Optimization : Configure and customize BigID modules, workflows, policies, and dashboards to meet client's specific data privacy requirements and optimize their effectiveness.

Compliance & Risk Management : Ensure adherence to global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and specifically the Saudi Arabia Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), conduct vendor risk assessments, and establish data retention policies.

Ethical AI & Data Handling : Implement and promote practices for responsible data use, including data anonymization, pseudonymization, and adherence to ethical AI principles.

Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with legal, security, IT, and business teams to align BigID functionalities with privacy objectives, manage stakeholder expectations, and provide clear communication on project status and challenges.

Integration : Develop and integrate connectors with enterprise systems and data catalog tools, and ensure seamless integration with relevant platforms like Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.

Essential skills and qualifications :

Experience : A minimum of 5 years in data privacy, governance, or cybersecurity roles, with significant hands-on experience in BigID implementation and administration.

BigID Expertise : In-depth knowledge of BigID modules, functionalities, and configuration for data discovery, classification, and privacy management.

Data Privacy Regulations : Strong understanding of global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and a deep understanding of the Saudi Arabia Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its requirements is essential.

Privacy Frameworks : Familiarity with privacy frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001 is advantageous.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills : The ability to analyze data privacy requirements, identify potential risks, and propose effective solutions.

Communication Skills : Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are crucial for effectively collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in SQL, APIs, and scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for customizing BigID functionality and integrations is highly beneficial.

Cloud Platforms : Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) is often preferred.
