Key Responsibilities :

- Develop high-quality Physical Data Models for MongoDB by analysing and translating provided Logical Data Models(LDMs) into practical, scalable schemas.

- Analyse and interpret Logical Data Models to understand their structure, relationships, and requirements.

- Work closely with business analysts and data architects to interpret Logical Data Models, ensuring a deep understanding of entity relationships, dependencies, and attribute definitions.

- Design, optimise, and implement efficient data models in MongoDB, ensuring they meet performance and storage requirements.

- Act as the bridge between database management, development, and infrastructure teams, ensuring that the data model aligns with application requirements and infrastructure limitations.

- Apply best practices for data modelling in MongoDB, including schema design, indexing and data distribution.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all Physical Data Models, schema changes and MongoDB configurations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, align data models with business needs and ensure data quality.

- Provide insights and recommendations for MongoDB schema design improvements and enhancements.

- Guide junior team members and stake holders on best practices in MongoDB data modelling and usage, fostering a deeper understanding across the organisation.

Qualifications :

- Demonstrable hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing MongoDB PDMs that support large-scale applications.

- Strong knowledge of MongoDB concepts, including schema design, index strategies, and query optimization.

- Ability to interpret and work with Logical Data Models to create scalable, robust Physical Data Models.

- Expertise in document-oriented database design, with a deep understanding of data normalization and denormalization technique specific to MongoDB.

- Proficiency with MongoDB tools (e.g., Compass, Atlas) and data modelling software.

- Ability to interpret complex Logical Data Models and translate them into efficient MongoDB Physical Data Models.

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with other NoSQL databases or data modelling tools.

- Familiarity with industry standards in data modelling and database design.

- Knowledge of industry-standard data modelling practices and familiarity with MongoDB performance tuning, backup, and recovery strategies.
