Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with 25 years of hands-on expertise in data modeling and advanced analytics platforms such as Azure Databricks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and performant data solutions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hybrid work setup and bring a deep understanding of data structures and modeling best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business objectives.

- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams to translate functional requirements into scalable data solutions.

- Optimize data models for performance, data quality, and cross-platform integration.

- Support metadata management, data lineage, and ensure consistency in data assets.

- Contribute to Agile, DevOps, and DataOps workflows within the data ecosystem.

- Maintain and document data model standards and best practices.

- Integrate models across various domains like Sales, Finance, Supplier, and Customer datasets.

Required Skills :

- 2+ years of experience in data modeling across enterprise data systems.

- Expertise in Azure Databricks and SQL.

- Proficiency in data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, ER/Studio, IDM, or ARDM).

- Familiarity with MPP data warehouse technologies (Databricks Lakehouse, Redshift, Synapse, Teradata, or Snowflake).

- Strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.

- Knowledge of metadata, data lineage, and glossary management.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with SAP HANA and S/4HANA data structures.

- Exposure to CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) domain, including retail data like IRI, Nielsen.

- Knowledge of cloud-based data warehouses and data lakehouse architectures.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
