About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced AWS RDS Data Modeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and optimizing data models across various AWS RDS database engines, with a solid background in data architecture and modeling best practices. This role requires hands-on experience with ER modeling and data modeling tools, supporting enterprise-scale data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business requirements.

- Build and maintain ER (Entity-Relationship) models aligned with data governance and architecture standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data architects, DBAs, developers, business analysts) to translate business needs into effective data structures.

- Implement data models across AWS RDS database engines such as Amazon Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle.

- Review and optimize existing data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Ensure adherence to data modeling standards and best practices.

- Document data models and metadata using appropriate modeling tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8 to 10 years of experience in data modeling and database design.

- Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.

- Proficiency in ER modeling and relational data structures.

- In-depth knowledge of AWS RDS database engines (Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).

- Experience with data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, ERwin, or equivalent.

- Solid understanding of data governance, normalization/denormalization techniques, and database performance optimization.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and business teams.
