We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Data Modeler to support the consolidation of multiple data marts into a unified Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) for a healthcare payer organization. The role involves close collaboration with business and technical teams to model critical insurance domains such as membership, product, coverage, and claims using Oracle 21c and Erwin Data Modeler. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a data-driven healthcare environment focused on improving analytics, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models for healthcare payer data domains

- Support enterprise-wide data mart consolidation initiatives, including :

1. Membership : enrollment, eligibility, demographics

2. Product : insurance plans, benefit structures, plan hierarchies

3. Coverage : policy rules, coverage tiers, network configurations

4. Claims : medical, pharmacy, and dental claims, adjudication processes

- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and ETL developers to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, optimized data models

- Build and manage data models using Erwin Data Modeler or equivalent modeling tools, ensuring alignment with enterprise data standards

- Work closely with Oracle 21c to implement efficient database structures, indexing, and partitioning strategies

- Ensure data models support reporting, analytics, regulatory, and compliance requirements

- Participate in data governance, metadata management, and documentation initiatives using tools such as Collibra and Alation

- Support performance tuning and optimization for large-scale data warehouse environments

- Maintain data model documentation and contribute to best practices and standards

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling and data warehousing

- Strong experience with Kimball and Medallion architecture modeling

- Proven experience handling large-scale data warehouse implementations (50+ TB)

- Hands-on experience with data partitioning and performance optimization techniques

- Strong domain knowledge of healthcare payer data, including membership, product, coverage, and claims

- Extensive experience using Erwin Data Modeler

- Strong SQL expertise and deep understanding of Oracle 21c database concepts

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications :

- Strong exposure to data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling

- Experience with data integration tools such as Informatica or Talend

- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and PHI data handling standards

- Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or similar
