Role Overview :

As a Data Migration Specialist, you will serve as a pivotal technical lead responsible for orchestrating complex data transitions within the Life Sciences domain. You will work closely with cross-functional project teams, regulatory affairs stakeholders, and global clients to ensure the seamless movement of critical content and metadata from legacy systems like Documentum into modern cloud environments. By designing robust migration strategies and executing high-stakes data mapping, you will directly influence the integrity of regulatory information management (RIM) systems, ensuring that our clients maintain compliance and operational continuity during digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect end-to-end data migration strategies to ensure zero-downtime transitions from legacy Documentum platforms to Veeva Vault, safeguarding critical business data.

- Execute complex data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using SQL, VQL, and DQL to maintain data fidelity and regulatory compliance.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and client IT teams to define data mapping requirements, ensuring that all migrated content aligns with global RIM standards.

- Perform rigorous data validation and quality assurance testing to identify and rectify discrepancies, minimizing risks during the cutover phase.

- Provide technical leadership during migration workshops, translating complex technical constraints into actionable solutions for non-technical project managers.

- Document migration methodologies and technical specifications to ensure transparency and audit readiness for all regulatory submissions.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale data migrations within the Life Sciences industry, specifically involving Veeva Vault and Documentum ecosystems.

- Advanced proficiency in database querying and manipulation using SQL, VQL, and DQL to handle complex data structures and metadata mapping.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot data integrity issues in high-pressure environments, ensuring alignment with RIM requirements.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical migration risks and progress to senior stakeholders and global project teams.

- Proven ability to work effectively in a hybrid or distributed team environment, maintaining high levels of productivity across Bangalore, Delhi/NCR, or Mumbai locations.

- A minimum of 6 to 11 years of hands-on experience in data migration and system integration roles, preferably within a regulated industry.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by a track record of delivering successful enterprise-level migrations.
