Data Migration Specialist

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Data Migration Specialist to lead the end-to-end data migration efforts for ServiceNow Service Operations Management (SOM). The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data profiling, ETL processes, and CRM data management, ensuring accurate, efficient, and seamless data transition into ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities :

- Conduct detailed data analysis and profiling of existing CRM systems to identify data models, dependencies, and inconsistencies.

- Define and document data mapping, transformation rules, and migration logic in alignment with ServiceNow SOM data architecture.

- Collaborate closely with ServiceNow architects, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete data transfer.

- Design and execute robust ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) processes for data migration into ServiceNow SOM.

- Validate and reconcile data post-migration to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.

- Prepare and maintain migration templates, audit logs, reports, and dashboards to monitor progress and data quality.

- Work with Salesforce and AppDynamics data structures where applicable to ensure integration and migration alignment.

- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production validation, providing insights and recommendations for process improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience in data migration and ETL processes, preferably involving ServiceNow SOM or similar enterprise systems.

- Strong knowledge of CRM data models, data mapping, and data validation techniques.

- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, AppDynamics, or other relevant systems is a plus.

- Proficiency in SQL and data transformation tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, or custom scripts).

- Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams.

Good to Have :

- Experience with ServiceNow modules and architecture.

- Knowledge of integration tools and APIs for data exchange between systems.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
