Job Title : Data Governance Consultant
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Governance Consultant to strengthen our clients data management and governance initiatives within the banking domain. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, regulatory awareness, and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure the adoption of robust data policies and governance practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to drive adoption of data standards, policies, and best practices across the enterprise.
- Provide oversight and leadership in the implementation of Data Management & Data Quality frameworks using tools such as Informatica Axon, EDC, and DEQ.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and maintain data governance processes, ensuring compliance with banking regulatory requirements.
- Play a hands-on role in implementing enterprise-wide Data Strategy roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and support end-to-end data management engagements, including production go-lives, governance adoption, and data stewardship practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Data Governance concepts, tools, and frameworks within the banking and financial services industry.
Qualifications & Skills :
- 8-10 years of overall professional experience, with 5+ years in Data Management/Data Governance within the banking & financial services sector.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with demonstrated ability to lead large-scale data engagements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a Data Steward, with involvement in BAU data processes and governance adoption.
- Hands-on knowledge of Informatica governance tools (Axon, EDC, DEQ) for supporting enterprise data governance programs.
- Strong understanding of data management policies, data quality procedures, and regulatory requirements in banking.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting & Finance, or related fields; a Masters degree is preferred.
