Job Title : Data Governance Associate / Associate Consultant

About the Role :
We are seeking passionate Data Governance professionals to join a leading US-based management consulting firm. This role involves working on enterprise-scale data governance, cataloging, and quality projects, leveraging Collibra and related tools to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and trust across business domains.
You will play a critical role in data stewardship, cataloging, metadata management, and quality assurance, enabling businesses to harness data as a strategic asset.
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute end-to-end Data Governance, Cataloging, and Quality projects, from inception to production.
- Work hands-on with Collibra to implement business glossaries, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Define and enforce data quality rules, perform profiling, and monitor critical data elements (CDEs).
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to establish enterprise-wide data governance frameworks.
- Support data cataloging initiatives by curating and maintaining metadata, business terms, and enterprise data domains.
- Ensure compliance with data governance standards and best practices across multiple domains.
- Participate in stakeholder discussions to capture requirements and translate them into technical data governance solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of data governance policies, roles, and stewardship responsibilities.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 1 to 6 years of enterprise data integration and governance experience, depending on role level.
- At least 1+ years of hands-on experience with Collibra for data governance, cataloging, and metadata management.
- Proven track record in delivering 2+ large Data Governance/Data Quality projects end-to-end.
Strong understanding of :
- Business glossaries & metadata management
- Data lineage, cataloging & quality rules
- Critical Data Elements (CDEs)
- Enterprise data domains & standards
- Experience with Data Quality solutions, including rule creation and monitoring.
- Familiarity with EDW technologies and enterprise data management practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in Agile delivery models and collaborate with global teams.
Good to Have :
- Knowledge of Informatica, Talend, or other data quality/governance platforms.
- Experience in cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Exposure to regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
