Data Governance Architect

Job Title : Data governance architect

Location : Bangalore

Mode : 6 months contract + extendable

Experience : 10+ years

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement robust Data Governance Operating Models tailored to enterprise data needs.

- Lead and support the adoption of Alation as a data cataloging and metadata management platform within the Azure ecosystem.

- Architect data governance solutions leveraging Snowflake for modern data warehousing and analytics.

- Develop and deploy metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, and data quality solutions.

- Conduct data governance maturity assessments, perform gap analyses, and create detailed, actionable strategic roadmaps for improvement.

- Ensure compliance with governance standards and best practices such as DAMA or DCAM.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, business analysts, and compliance teams to establish consistent data policies and standards.

- Provide expert guidance to stakeholders and communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Hands-on experience with Alation on the Azure platform.

- Strong experience working with the Snowflake platform.

- Demonstrated expertise in at least two of the following areas :

- Data Governance Operating Models

- Metadata Management

- Data Cataloging

- Data Lineage

- Data Quality

- Deep understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA, DCAM) with real-world

implementation experience.

- Experience conducting maturity assessments and defining strategic roadmaps.

- Exceptional communication skills, capable of interfacing with technical and business stakeholders.
