Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain enterprise data catalog platforms such as Alation, Collibra, or Informatica EDC.

- Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to enhance data discoverability, quality, and lineage tracking.

- Write and optimize SQL queries to analyze, validate, and reconcile large datasets.

- Translate complex technical data logic into business-friendly insights and documentation.

- Ensure compliance with data governance standards, including metadata management and data privacy policies.

- Facilitate collaboration across business units to align data definitions and governance processes.

- Contribute to the development of data stewardship frameworks and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 710 years of experience in Data Stewardship, Data Governance, or Data Analytics roles.

- Hands-on experience with Alation or similar platforms (Collibra, Informatica EDC, Atlan).

- Strong SQL skills for querying and validating large datasets.

- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data engineering concepts.

- Proven ability to translate technical data concepts into business-consumable language.

- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.

- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Business, Data Engineering, Analytics).

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., GCP, Snowflake, BigQuery).

- Understanding of data lineage, data quality, and data privacy frameworks.

- Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and their integration with data catalogs.

- Knowledge of metadata standards (business glossary, technical metadata, usage metadata).
