Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst with experience in managing data catalogues, data dictionaries, and driving stakeholder engagement in the BFSI sector.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Catalogue & Data Dictionary Management :

- Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide data catalogues and data dictionaries.

- Ensure metadata completeness, consistency, and accuracy across systems.

- Define and document business terms, data lineage, classifications, and usage rules.

- Collaborate with IT and business teams to onboard new data assets and maintain data asset inventory.

- Utilize tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica EDC, or Azure Purview to manage metadata.

Stakeholder Engagement & Management :

- Act as a liaison between business users, data stewards, IT, and compliance teams.

- Facilitate data governance forums, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.

- Understand stakeholder data needs and translate them into metadata requirements.

- Promote data ownership and data stewardship across business units.

Governance, Compliance, and Quality :

- Support regulatory and compliance reporting by ensuring accurate and timely metadata availability.

- Ensure alignment with internal data governance frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., BCBS 239, GDPR, CCPA, RBI norms).

- Assist in the development and enforcement of data policies and standards.
