Data Engineering Manager

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly experienced Data Engineer (AM Level) to lead enterprise-scale data engineering initiatives. The role involves designing modern data architectures, building scalable pipelines, and driving cloud-based data platform solutions across business intelligence, analytics, and AI use cases.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership along with hands-on expertise in cloud, big data, and data platform modernization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable data architectures across cloud and hybrid environments

- Build and optimize ETL and ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing

- Lead data platform modernization using advanced tools and frameworks

- Implement real-time and batch data processing architectures

- Define and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards

- Collaborate with Data Science, BI, and Product teams

- Implement DataOps and DevOps practices for automation and monitoring

- Mentor and guide data engineering teams

- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

- Develop REST APIs and Azure-based data services where required

Required Skills :

- Strong expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, Kafka, and Airflow

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or Delta Lake

- Strong knowledge of data modelling, governance, and lineage tools

- Experience designing scalable data pipelines and architectures

- Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills

Good to Have :

- Experience with C#, .NET Core, and Azure PaaS

- Knowledge of Azure Integration Services and API development

- Exposure to cloud security best practices

- Understanding of design patterns and Agile practices
