Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining modern data platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, developing data models, and enabling analytics using cloud-based data warehousing technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions that support business intelligence and data-driven decision-making.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Apache Airflow, Snowflake, SQL, and Python.
- Build, optimize, and maintain dimensional and analytical data models in Snowflake.
- Develop, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot Apache Airflow DAGs for complex data workflows.
- Create efficient SQL transformations and Python-based automation scripts for data processing.
- Implement dbt models, tests, documentation, and data quality validations to ensure reliable datasets.
- Optimize Snowflake performance through efficient warehouse sizing, clustering, partitioning, and materialization strategies.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for dbt projects and Airflow deployments using Git-based workflows.
- Monitor data pipelines, resolve production issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with data analysts, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including data models, pipeline architecture, operational runbooks, and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and coding standards across the data platform.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on expertise with dbt, Apache Airflow, Snowflake, SQL, and Python.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Strong understanding of dimensional data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control.
- Excellent SQL query optimization and performance tuning skills.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of data governance, data lineage, and metadata management.
- Familiarity with orchestration, monitoring, and observability tools.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience supporting BI and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
