Data Engineer - Python/SQL

Role : GCP Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

- Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data transformation and reporting.

- Build and maintain scripts and automation using Python (2+ years of hands-on experience).

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business

Stakeholders to validate and execute projects.

- Implement and maintain data governance and compliance practices in line with enterprise

policies.

- Participate in the review and evaluation of internal data policies and procedures.

- Monitor and ensure compliance with Enterprise Data Governance standards.

- Contribute to the design of data architecture and workflows, ensuring scalability and reliability.

Must-Have Skills :

- Atleast 2+ years of hands-on experience in Python programming.

- Working knowledge of key GCP components such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, etc.

- Solid understanding of databases, data flows, and data architecture.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications :

- Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality solutions in agile environments.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to navigate and resolve complex technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) :

- Experience working within a formal Data Governance Framework.

- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
