Data Engineer - Python/SQL

Job Title : Engineer Data (Python/SQL/GCP)

- Location : Gurgaon (Mandatory 3 days/week from Clients Office)

- Experience Required : 4+ Years

About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled Engineer with strong expertise in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms (preferably GCP). The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of databases, data architecture, and enterprise governance practices. This role requires hands-on problem-solving ability, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a keen eye for compliance and policy execution.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries for complex data requirements.

- Work on Python-based solutions for data processing, automation, and integration.

- Utilize GCP components (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, etc.) to support large-scale data

workflows.

- Contribute to building and enhancing data architecture, data flows, and governance

frameworks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate solutions and drive project execution.

- Review, evaluate, and improve policies and procedures aligned with enterprise data

governance.

- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance requirements for data systems and processes.

Must-Have Skills :

- Excellent command over SQL (query writing, optimization, performance tuning).

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Python development experience.

- Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core data services.

- Strong understanding of databases, data flows, and data architecture.

- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and deliver projects.

- Awareness of data governance frameworks and compliance practices.

Good to Have :

- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

- Exposure to ETL/ELT tools or data pipelines.

- Familiarity with data security, metadata management, and quality frameworks.
