About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Developer with deep expertise in Microsoft Purview and metadata management to support our enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing scalable data governance solutions, preferably within the investment banking or financial services domain, and will play a key role in shaping and enforcing data policies, standards, and lineage across cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and support the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Purview, including classification configuration, scanning, and API integrations.

- Design and manage enterprise business glossaries, data classifications, metadata lineage, and technical/business metadata association.

- Configure and automate metadata ingestion pipelines from diverse sources across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.

- Work closely with data stewards, architects, and platform teams to define and maintain data governance standards and processes.

- Ensure adherence to cloud security, compliance, and regulatory standards within metadata and data governance frameworks.

- Monitor and maintain metadata quality, lineage visibility, and data catalog health through regular audits and improvements.

- Provide hands-on technical guidance on Purview APIs and integration with AI/ML data pipelines.

- Contribute to data governance frameworks in Agile project delivery and DevOps cultures.

Required Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data cataloging in enterprise environments.

- 12 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including at least one end-to-end implementation.

- Proficiency in Purview API usage, resource scanning, classification, and metadata mapping.

- Strong understanding of data lineage, data dictionaries, and glossary management.

- Experience working in investment banking, capital markets, or regulated financial environments is highly desirable.

- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), particularly data services and governance controls.

- Familiarity with AI/ML-enabled metadata automation and intelligent classification is a plus.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.

- Microsoft certifications in Azure Data Engineer, Security Engineer, or Purview are a strong advantage.
