Data Engineer Microsoft Fabric

About the Role :

We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Purview to design, build, and govern scalable data platforms for enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing Lakehouse architectures on OneLake, building robust ingestion pipelines, and enabling data governance and analytics at scale.

This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, architects, and analytics teams to deliver high-performance, secure, and well-governed data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric

- Build and manage Fabric Lakehouse architectures on OneLake for unified data storage and analytics

- Implement data ingestion using Data Factory pipelines and Dataflows Gen2

- Develop and optimize Fabric Data Warehouses and SQL Analytics Endpoints

- Enable enterprise-grade data governance using Microsoft Purview (cataloging, lineage, classifications)

- Implement real-time and streaming data solutions using Eventstream and Real-Time Analytics

- Optimize data storage and performance using Delta Lake tables and V-Order optimization

- Perform data transformations using Spark Notebooks (PySpark)

- Integrate external data sources using Shortcuts and Data Mirroring

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support client-facing discussions and documentation

Technical Skills Required :

(Candidate should have strong hands-on experience in at least 6- 8 of the following)

- Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse and OneLake

- Data Factory pipelines and Dataflows Gen2

- Fabric Data Warehouse and SQL Analytics Endpoints

- Microsoft Purview (data catalog, lineage, classifications)

- Eventstream and Real-Time Analytics for streaming workloads

- Delta Lake tables and V-Order optimization

- Spark Notebooks with PySpark

- Shortcuts and data mirroring for external data integration

Experience & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience in data engineering

- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse

- Proven experience delivering 2+ Lakehouse implementations or large-scale data pipeline projects

- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients

- Experience creating technical documentation and solution designs
