About the Role :

As a Data Engineer MDM at nVent, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Master Data Management solutions using Informaticas MDM suite. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data stewards, and digital teams to implement robust master data governance frameworks that ensure data consistency, accuracy, and compliance across the enterprise.

This role is crucial for establishing a single source of truth for key enterprise data domains such as Customer, Product, Supplier, and Financial data and for driving data quality, integration, and governance initiatives across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, implement, and maintain Informatica MDM solutions that align with business requirements and enterprise data governance policies.

- Configure, customize, and optimize Informatica MDM hubs for various data domains.

- Develop data models, matching rules, survivorship rules, and validation processes to ensure accurate master data.

- Create batch and real-time data integration workflows between MDM and source/target systems.

- Implement data cleansing, profiling, enrichment, and synchronization processes to maintain high-quality master data.

- Implement and enforce data quality rules, data standardization processes, and data validation frameworks.

- Collaborate with data architects and governance teams to define MDM policies, procedures, and best practices.

- Support audit and compliance requirements by ensuring accurate and traceable master data lineage.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration and MDM issues to maintain data integrity and system performance.

- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical designs, and provide implementation guidance.

- Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and provide mentorship to junior team members.

- Stay up to date with latest Informatica product features, MDM trends, and industry best practices.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, integration flows, and operational procedures.

- Document data models, matching rules, survivorship logic, and workflows for transparency and maintainability.

- Develop training materials and knowledge-sharing sessions for internal teams on MDM processes and tools.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- 58 years of experience in data engineering, ETL, or MDM development, with hands-on experience in Informatica MDM.

- Strong understanding of data governance principles, master data management concepts, and data quality best practices.

- Experience in designing, developing, and deploying MDM solutions in enterprise environments.

- Proficiency with data modeling, workflow design, matching and survivorship rules, and validation processes in Informatica MDM.

- Experience with Informatica tools including PowerCenter, Data Quality (IDQ), MDM Hub, or equivalent.

- Familiarity with real-time integration patterns, batch processing, and API-based data exchanges.

- Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.
