Data Engineer II - ETL

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL processes using Teradata.

- Write and troubleshoot complex Teradata SQL and BTEQ scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

- Work on data modeling and ensure high-quality, accurate, and consistent data across systems.

- Collaborate with analytics, BI, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.

- Perform data validation, performance tuning, and query optimization.

- Support Unix-based scripting for automation and data pipeline management.

- Contribute to design discussions and propose improvements in data processes.

- Knowledge of Semantic Layer concepts will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering with strong hands-on experience in Teradata.

- Proficient in ETL development, Teradata SQL, and BTEQ scripting.

- Basic understanding of Unix scripting for automation and job scheduling.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Good to Have:

- Experience or understanding of Semantic Layer design and data modeling.

- Exposure to data warehouse or analytics projects in enterprise environments.
