About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with a strong background in Azure data services and enterprise data architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing data solutions on Azure, including data ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to design scalable data pipelines, manage data lakes, and implement best practices for data management and governance.

The Data Architect will contribute to the design and implementation of data-driven solutions that enable analytics, AI, and operational insights across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and optimize end-to-end data solutions on Azure, including ingestion pipelines, data lakes, and database architectures.

- Work hands-on with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, ADLS, SQL DB, and other Azure data services.

- Develop Python and PySpark scripts for data processing, transformation, and analytics.

- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing data pipelines and storage solutions.

- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with organizational standards.

- Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Apply best practices in Agile development methodologies for data projects.

- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing data systems and pipelines.

- Document architecture designs, data flows, and technical specifications.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with Azure data services : Data Factory, Databricks, ADLS, SQL DB, etc.

- 23 years of architecture experience designing and optimizing data sources, ingestion pipelines, and data lake hosting.

- Strong programming experience in Python and PySpark.

- Expertise in databases and SQL.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).

- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a dynamic environment.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with code management and CI/CD systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub).

- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).

- Exposure to IoT data standards such as Project Haystack, Brick Schema, or Real Estate Core.

- Knowledge of data governance, cataloging, and metadata management.
