Data Architect - AWS/Python

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our team in the banking sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise data architecture and deep expertise in AWS services.

This role involves developing and executing data architecture strategies, evaluating emerging technologies, and ensuring data security and compliance within a financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Architecture:

- Develop and execute comprehensive enterprise data architecture strategies.

- Design secure and scalable data solutions by leveraging expertise in a wide range of AWS services.

- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance our data architecture.

Data Governance & Quality :

- Collaborate with data teams to define and capture data quality rules and establish performance thresholds.

- Analyze business data requirements and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for reporting.

- Prioritize data initiatives in alignment with strategic business goals.

Collaboration & Compliance :

- Conduct workshops and interviews with stakeholders to gather business objectives and requirements.

- Collaborate with security teams to define and enforce robust data security and compliance standards.

Required Skills :

- Proven experience as a Data Architect, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.

- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Familiarity with data security and compliance standards.

Technical Skills :

- Cloud: Strong knowledge of AWS services, including Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, and others.

- Analytics: Experience with tools and processes for data quality, KPIs, and reporting.
