Data Analyst - R/Python

Job Summary :

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to generate actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across departments. Youll work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver clear, impactful reports and visualizations.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Collection & Cleaning :

- Gather data from internal systems, databases, APIs, and third-party sources

- Clean, validate, and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency

Data Analysis & Interpretation :

- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies

- Use statistical techniques to derive insights and support business decisions

Reporting & Visualisation :

- Create dashboards and visual reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel

- Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

Collaboration & Strategy :

- Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, finance, operations) to understand data needs

- Translate business questions into analytical problems and deliver data-driven solutions

Data Governance & Quality :

- Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations

- Document data sources, methodologies, and processes

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases

- Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)

- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)

- Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and automation

- Understanding of statistics, data modeling, and hypothesis testing

- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

- Knowledge of machine learning basics or predictive analytics

- Exposure to big data tools (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus
