Cyber Security Specialist - Penetration Testing

Job Title : Remote Cybersecurity Specialist.

Location : Remote.

Department : IT / Security.

Job Summary :

- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats in real-time.

- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing.

- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.

- Analyze security breaches to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.

- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design secure systems and applications.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and best practices.

- Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, or GDPR.

- Train employees on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.

- Configure and maintain security systems such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and endpoint protection.

- Support incident response and disaster recovery planning and testing.

Requirements :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).

- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.

- Proficiency with security tools such as Wireshark, Snort, Nessus, Splunk, etc.

- Strong knowledge of network security, cloud security, encryption, authentication, and threat modeling.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security configurations.

- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC preferred.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in remote or distributed teams.

- Knowledge of DevSecOps, container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with regulatory frameworks like HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or FedRAMP.
