Job Description - Cybersecurity Consultant.

Location : Remote (India) / Hybrid (Office presence as needed).

Experience : 6 - 12 years.

Role Overview :


We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Consultant to support enterprise-wide security initiatives. The consultant will work with the client's cybersecurity team to strengthen defenses, enhance detection & response capabilities, and ensure compliance with global standards.

Responsibilities :


- Support cybersecurity operations, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.

- Work with Proximus Ada (AI & Cybersecurity COE) initiatives to improve resilience.

- Assist with security assessments, audits, and regulatory compliance (i.e., NIS2, GDPR).

- Configure and manage tools for DDoS protection, Mobile Threat Defense, and Firewall-as-a-Service.

- Participate in Managed Extended Detection & Response (MxDR) operations.

- Collaborate with CSIRT (Cyber Security Incident Response Team) on phishing, simulation exercises, and awareness campaigns.

- Provide technical consulting for security architecture design and risk mitigation strategies.

- Document security incidents, playbooks, and remediation steps.

Required Skills :


- Strong knowledge of SIEM, EDR, and SOC operations.

- Experience in -incident response, digital forensics, and malware analysis.

- Familiarity with Identity & Access Management (IAM), vulnerability scanning, and endpoint security.

- Hands-on with cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP) controls.

- Understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, NIS2).

- Knowledge of network security tools (IDS/IPS, DDoS, firewalls, VPNs).

- Security certifications preferred : CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar.

- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
