Cyber Security Analyst - Vulnerability Assessment/Penetration Testing

Key Responsibilities :

Security Monitoring & Incident Response :

- Monitor security alerts and respond promptly

- Investigate breaches and document reports

- Maintain and improve incident response protocols

Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing :

- Conduct vulnerability scans and identify weak spots

- Perform penetration testing

- Coordinate with IT to resolve identified risks

Security Architecture & Design :

- Assist in building secure IT infrastructure

- Offer security guidance to development teams

- Evaluate the impact of IT changes on security posture

Identity & Access Management (IAM) :

- Control and monitor user access

- Enforce access management policies

- Maintain compliance with IAM standards

Security Awareness & Training :

- Design and deliver training on cybersecurity best practices

- Conduct awareness campaigns and assessments

Policy, Compliance & Technology Implementation :

- Enforce cybersecurity policies and maintain compliance

- Stay updated on industry regulations

- Recommend and implement the latest security tools

Knowledge, Skills, Attributes (KSA) Required

Knowledge :

- Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and risk management

- Awareness of security operations, identity and access management (IAM), and secure system architecture

- Familiarity with security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST, GDPR)

Skills :

- Hands-on ability in incident response and penetration testing

- Proficiency in vulnerability assessment tools

- Basic scripting or automation knowledge (preferred)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Effective communication and documentation abilities
