About the Role :
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to protect our organizations systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.
This role involves monitoring security alerts, investigating incidents, performing vulnerability assessments, and implementing proactive measures to safeguard critical assets.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on security tool experience, and a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools and other security monitoring systems.
- Investigate and analyze potential security breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat hunting.
- Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure security compliance and risk mitigation.
- Manage and analyze firewall, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security logs.
- Assist in security awareness programs and training for employees.
- Prepare incident reports, risk assessments, and remediation plans.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Required Skills & Experience :
Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 25 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.) and security concepts.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, endpoint protection tools, and vulnerability scanners.
- Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CISSP, or GSEC.
- Experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
