Key Responsibilities (KRAs) :
- Linux Infrastructure Design & Management : Lead the design, implementation, and administration of large-scale, complex Linux server environments, primarily using RedHat, CentOS, or Rocky Linux, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Virtualization Management : Oversee and manage VMware administration, including virtual machine deployment, configuration, and optimization.
- Network Service Configuration : Architect and manage critical network services, specifically DNS and DHCP configurations on Linux systems.
- Automation & Scripting : Develop and maintain robust Shell scripts to automate routine tasks, system deployments, and operational processes.
- Drive infrastructure automation initiatives using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Network Foundation & Troubleshooting : Apply a solid understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts to design resilient network solutions and perform advanced network troubleshooting.
- System Reliability & Support : Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex Linux server issues, ensuring system stability and minimal downtime.
- Be willing to work after office hours when required for critical support.
- Documentation & Best Practices : Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for server configurations, automation scripts, and operational procedures.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise best practices for infrastructure management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with development teams, network engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications on Linux infrastructure.
Required Skills :
- 8+ years of Linux administration experience in enterprise environments (RedHat / CentOS / Rocky Linux).
Desired Skills :
- Experience with server hardware : Cisco UCS, HPe Synergy, HPe DL360.
- Cloud platform experience : Azure / GCP.
- Exposure to Windows Server & Active Directory administration.
- Experience with backup tools like Veeam, Cohesity.
- Familiarity with security tools like Qualys, CyberArk, SentinelOne
