Customer Journey Analytics Resource
Introduction and Background :
The engagement for a highly motivated and technically skilled Data Engineer/Analyst to join the dynamic team. The primary goal is to enhance the efficient flow and quality of data across our systems, specifically focusing on leveraging Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) to derive actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. This role demands a strong technical foundation in data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies.
Objectives :
The key objectives of this engagement are to :
- Harness the power of Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) to build robust data pipelines, integrate CJA with the broader data ecosystem, and create impactful dashboards.
- Ensure the seamless ingestion and transformation of data from AEP into a central data warehouse for CJA.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports within CJA, providing clear visualization of customer journey data and KPIs.
- Optimize the data warehouse architecture to support AEP reporting and analysis needs.
- Implement and monitor data quality processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of CJA data.
- Collaborate effectively with data scientists, analysts, and marketing teams to deliver actionable insights.
3. Scope of Work :
The scope of work for this engagement will encompass the following key responsibilities and activities :
3.1. CJA Integration & Data Ingestion :
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to seamlessly ingest and transform data from Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) into the central data warehouse (GCP BigQuery).
- Focus on extracting key metrics, events, and customer journeys from AEP.
3.2. Dashboard Development & Visualization :
- Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports within CJA and other visualization tools.
- Present customer journey data for stakeholders, including visualizing key performance indicators (KPIs) derived from AEP.
3.3. Connection and Data View Creation : Import datasets into CJA using AEP connections and setting up data views.
3.4. Data Warehouse Optimization : Utilize GCP expertise (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc) to optimize the data warehouse architecture to support AEP's reporting and analysis needs.
3.5. CJA Best Practices & Continuous Improvement : Stay current on CJA best practices and continuously improve our data integration and reporting processes.
3.6. Data Quality & Governance : Implement and monitor data quality processes related to CJA data.
3.7. Collaboration & Support : Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and marketing teams to understand their reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
4. Key Deliverables :
The successful completion of this engagement will result in the following deliverables :
- Fully functional and optimized data pipelines for AEP to data warehouse integration.
- Comprehensive CJA dashboards and reports visualizing key customer journey metrics and KPIs.
- Established AEP connections and configured data views within CJA.
- Optimized data warehouse architecture for AEP reporting.
- Documented data quality processes for CJA data.
- Regular reports and insights derived from CJA analysis.
- Knowledge transfer and documentation of implemented solutions.
5. Technical Skills Required (Resources) :
The individual(s) performing this work will possess the following core technical skills :
- GCP : Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, etc.).
- SQL : Expert-level SQL skills, including complex query optimization for AEP data.
- Python : Proficient in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation (specifically for AEP data transformation).
- Adobe AEP : Good understanding of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including Event Tracking, Customer journeys, and Analytics.
