Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Page Object Model (POM) frameworks using Java with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright.
- Build modular, scalable, and reusable automation architecture supporting cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device testing.
- Implement hybrid frameworks combining data-driven, keyword-driven, and behavior-driven approaches as needed.
- Integrate TestNG for test orchestration, parallel execution, grouping, parameterization, data providers, listeners, and detailed reporting.
- Establish coding standards, design patterns (Singleton, Factory, Builder), and best practices for the automation codebase.
- Should have good knowledge on API Automation using Rest Assured libraries.
- Develop end-to-end UI test suites using Selenium 4 features including Relative Locators, Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP), and enhanced Window/Tab management.
- Handle complex web elements : dynamic tables, shadow DOM, iframes, file uploads/downloads, alerts, and multi-window scenarios.
- Implement robust explicit and fluent waits, custom expected conditions, and retry mechanisms to ensure test stability.
- Manage WebDriver lifecycle, browser profiles, headless execution, and remote execution via Selenium Grid 4.
- Design and implement automation suites using Playwright for Java for modern web applications.
- Leverage Playwright's built-in auto-wait, network interception, tracing, and screenshot/video capture capabilities.
- Utilize Playwright for API testing, browser context isolation, and multi-browser parallel execution (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit).
- Evaluate and recommend Playwright vs. Selenium based on project needs, performance benchmarks, and application architecture.
- Implement comprehensive test reporting using ExtentReports, Allure Reports, or TestNG HTML reports with screenshots, logs, and execution metadata.
- Integrate test results with dashboards (Grafana, ELK, custom dashboards) for real-time visibility.
- Set up automated notifications (Slack, Microsoft Teams, email) for build/test results.
- Use AI to auto-classify failures (environment issue, test data issue, application defect, flaky test) to reduce triage time.
CI/CD Integration :
- Design and maintain Jenkins declarative and scripted pipelines for continuous test execution.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD workflows with triggers on code commits, pull requests, nightly schedules, and deployment events.
- Configure Jenkins agents/nodes, parallel stages, parameterized builds, and post-build actions (reports, notifications, artifact archival).
- Integrate with version control systems (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket), build tools (Maven/Gradle), and artifact repositories.
- Implement quality gates fail builds based on test pass rates, code coverage thresholds, or defect severity.
AI-Powered Test Automation :
- Leverage AI/ML-driven testing tools and techniques to enhance automation efficiency.
- Integrate AI copilots (GitHub Copilot, Amazon Code, PostQode and e.t.c) into the development workflow for faster script creation and debugging.
- Stay current with Autonomous Testing Agents AI agents that can explore applications, identify test scenarios, and execute tests with minimal human intervention.
- Understand and apply the Model Context Protocol (MCP) an open standard for connecting AI models to external tools, data sources, and systems.
- Design and build MCP servers that expose automation-related capabilities.
- Build MCP clients and integrate MCP with AI agents to create intelligent automation workflow.
- Understand MCP's resource, tool, and prompt primitives and how they map to QA automation use cases.
- Evaluate and implement MCP-compatible tooling to bridge the gap between LLM-based AI assistants and test infrastructure.
