Job Description :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Quality Engineer to join our growing team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and executing quality assurance activities across various software development projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet our clients' needs and expectations.
Responsibilities :
- Test Strategy and Planning : Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and test plans based on project requirements and specifications.
- Test Case Design and Execution : Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test data to thoroughly test software functionality, performance, and security.
- Defect Management : Identify, document, and track defects using a defect tracking system. Work closely with developers to resolve defects and ensure timely resolution.
- Test Automation : Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks.
- Performance Testing : Conduct performance testing to identify and address performance bottlenecks.
- Security Testing : Participate in security testing activities to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Regression Testing : Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not introduce new defects or break existing functionality.
- Team Leadership : Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Process Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
- Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of quality requirements.
- Reporting : Prepare and present test reports to stakeholders, providing insights into the quality of the software.
- Staying Updated : Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software quality assurance.
Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience : 3-8 years of experience in software quality assurance.
Technical Skills :
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and principles.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience with security testing tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python).
- Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL).
Soft Skills :
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience in testing financial applications.
