Job Overview :

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, hands-on experience with performance tuning, and the ability to troubleshoot complex database and conversion issues in real time.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

- Perform query performance tuning and optimization to improve data processing efficiency.

- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather conversion and data migration requirements.

- Design and implement ETL workflows for large-scale data extraction, transformation, and loading.

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity during migration and post-conversion validation.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in real-time across heterogeneous systems.

- Create and maintain conversion documentation, including design specs, mapping documents, and process flows.

- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership on SQL best practices and conversion methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Proven hands-on experience in query optimization and performance tuning.

- Proficiency in stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and indexing strategies.

- Solid understanding of relational database design and data modeling principles.

- Strong experience in ETL processes, data conversion methodologies, and reconciliation techniques.

- Experience in handling large-volume data migrations in enterprise environments.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and real-time problem-solving skills.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.

Good to Have (Preferred Skills) :

- Exposure to data migration tools (Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or similar).

- Knowledge of banking, insurance, or financial domain data conversion projects.

- Experience in automation scripting (Python/PowerShell/Unix Shell) for data workflows.
