Continuity 1 - Junior Database Administrator - MongoDB

About the Role :

Were looking for a Junior MongoDB DBA with hands-on experience in database administration, scripting, and performance support. The role involves managing MongoDB environments, monitoring system health, and automating routine tasks while working closely with senior DBAs on large-scale distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Support and maintain MongoDB instances across development, staging, and production environments.

- Perform health checks, log monitoring, and backup verifications.

- Assist with index management, query optimization, and schema changes.

- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation of daily maintenance tasks.

- Prepare and update runbooks and operational documentation.

- Collaborate with senior DBAs during incident response and troubleshooting.

- Stay updated on MongoDB best practices, new features, and performance tuning techniques.

Requirements :

- Experience : 3 - 4 years in MongoDB administration/support.

- Strong understanding of replication, sharding, and schema design concepts.

- Mandatory : MongoDB, DBA experience, Shell scripting, and Linux environment familiarity.

- Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Bash/Python preferred).

- Excellent attention to detail, documentation discipline, and eagerness to learn.

Education :

- BE/BTech/BCA or equivalent.
