Job description :

You will be part of a cloud architecture and platform engineering team, working closely with internal engineering stakeholders to enable adoption and effective consumption of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).

This role sits at the intersection of architecture, consulting, and deep technical expertise, where you will guide teams on how to design, deploy, and consume VCF platforms effectively.

You will act as a trusted advisor, driving architecture decisions while also supporting engineering teams in resolving complex platform challenges and ensuring a seamless infrastructure experience.

What You Will Do :

- Design and architect enterprise-grade solutions using :

a. VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 5.x / 9.x)

b. vSphere, NSX, vSAN

- Support engineering teams in consuming and leveraging VCF platforms effectively, ensuring alignment with best practices

- Act as a technical SME and escalation point for complex infrastructure and platform-related issues

- Lead architecture discussions, workshops, and solutioning sessions with internal stakeholders

- Define reference architectures, design patterns, and best practices for VCF adoption

- Drive data center modernization and hybrid cloud strategies, integrating VMware with platforms like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services

- Guide teams on :

a. Workload migration strategies (e.g., HCX)

b. Platform scalability and performance optimization

c. High availability and disaster recovery

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure smooth implementation and platform stability

How You Will Do It :

- Engage with engineering teams to understand platform usage patterns and challenges

- Translate requirements into scalable architecture designs and reusable frameworks

- Provide hands-on guidance and troubleshooting support for VCF-related issues

- Leverage tools such as :

a. VMware Aria Suite (vRA, vROps, Log Insight)

b. Automation frameworks (Terraform, scripting good to have)

- Drive standardization, automation, and optimization across VCF environments

- Collaborate with vendor teams for critical escalations and advanced troubleshooting

What Were Looking For :

- 12 to 18 years of experience in cloud / infrastructure architecture

- Strong expertise in :

a. VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)

b. vSphere, NSX, vSAN

- Proven experience in :

a. Cloud solution architecture / consulting roles

b. Supporting or enabling platform consumption in enterprise environments

c. Handling complex infrastructure challenges and escalations

- Strong understanding of :

a. Data center modernization

b. Workload migration

c. High availability and disaster recovery

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
