Role Overview :

As a Cyber Security Analyst at CollegeDekho, you will be responsible for protecting our systems and data from cyber threats. You will work closely with the IT infrastructure and development teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and respond to security incidents. Your role is critical in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of CollegeDekho's information assets, safeguarding the data of millions of students and partner institutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses in systems and applications.

- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to protect CollegeDekho's IT infrastructure.

- Monitor security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.

- Investigate security breaches and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

- Provide security awareness training to employees to promote a security-conscious culture.

- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure security is integrated into all stages of the software development lifecycle.

- Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber security threats and trends, and recommend appropriate security measures.

- Manage and maintain security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and anti-virus software.

- Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards, such as ISO 27001 and GDPR.

- Develop and maintain incident response plans to effectively handle security incidents.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate cyber security threats and vulnerabilities.

- Proven expertise in network security, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention, and VPN management.

- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve security issues effectively.

- Excellent understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies.

- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
