About the Role :

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Collaborative Engineer with deep expertise in GitHub Copilot and Amazon Q to join a generative AI-focused engineering team. This hands-on role blends software development, advanced generative AI tooling, and developer enablement. The selected candidate will design and deliver structured developer sprints, mentor engineering teams, and help integrate AI-driven workflows into enterprise codebases.

This position is fully remote but candidates must be based in India.

Key Responsibilities :


- Leverage GitHub Copilot and Amazon Q features, including Copilot Chat agents and Amazon Q's /dev commands, to accelerate development workflows.

- Conduct advanced prompt engineering and design AI-driven solutions for development teams.

- Apply knowledge of Copilot Enterprise and Amazon Q for Business, including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and internal codebase reasoning.

- Mentor and guide developer teams in generative AI practices, ensuring hands-on learning and effective adoption.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI tools into the software development lifecycle.

- Demonstrate best practices for AI security, ethics, and responsible usage.

- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for complex issues within AI-driven development workflows.

- Support developer enablement initiatives (DevRel) by creating structured, practical, and interactive learning experiences.

Required Qualifications & Skills :


- Expertise in generative AI tools including MCP usage and Agentic Orchestration.

- Expert-level knowledge of GitHub Copilot and Amazon Q features.

- Advanced prompt engineering skills for AI-assisted development platforms.

- Strong understanding of Copilot Enterprise, Amazon Q for Business, RAG, and internal codebase reasoning.

- Intermediate understanding of LLM fundamentals, AI ethics, and security practices.

- Recent hands-on experience with Java, Python, and/or Visual Studio Code.

- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

- Passion for generative AI and developer enablement (DevRel).

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications :


- Cloud certifications such as AWS or Azure and familiarity with DevOps practices.

- Active participation in open-source projects or technical communities.

- Strong instructional presence, demonstrating patience, empathy, and adaptability when mentoring teams.

- Experience designing hands-on developer workshops or sprints focused on AI-driven development tools
