Role Overview :

The Ruby on Rails Developer is a senior full-stack engineering role requiring 4+ years of experience with mandatory expertise in the Ruby on Rails (RoR) framework.

The incumbent will focus on developing and maintaining web applications, demanding proficiency in Full Stack development (including JavaScript and other front-end frameworks).

This role requires strong experience with AWS services, Docker, CI/CD tools, and prior experience in the Health Care Industry is mandatory.

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer (4+ years) with a strong full-stack background (RoR, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery).

The ideal candidate must possess strong experience in AWS services, Docker, and CI/CD tools, along with mandatory experience in the healthcare industry.

Key responsibilities include designing scalable features, maintaining and troubleshooting existing applications, utilizing PostgreSQL/MySQL databases, and implementing automated testing (RSpec, unit tests).

A solid understanding of OOP, MVC, RESTful principles, and experience with specific APIs (Acuity, Athena, Sendgrid, Sidekiq) is essential for this fast-paced role.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :

RoR Development and Architecture :

- Demonstrate 4+ years experience with Ruby on Rails and a Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances.

- Apply a Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and Working experience with Solid design pattern to build scalable and maintainable backend logic.

- Maintain and troubleshoot existing web applications efficiently.

- Possess a Strong ability of writing great simple clean efficient code.

- Demonstrate Familiarity with MVC (Model-View-Controller), Mocking, RESTful, and ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) patterns.

Full Stack, Cloud, and DevOps :

- Act as a full stack developer (preferably with experience in any frontend JS frameworks) along with RoR.

- Utilize Profound experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript HTML CSS and JQuery.

- Implement robust data storage solutions, showing Good experience with Postgres SQL & MySQL databases.

- Demonstrate Strong Experience in AWS services and Docker for application deployment, scaling, and containerization.

- Possess Strong Experience in CI/CD tools (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) for automated deployment pipelines.

Integrations and Quality Assurance :

- Mandatory Working experience with Acuity Scheduler, Athena APIs integration, Light Beam, Sendbird, Sendgrid, Sidekiq or similar complex third-party services.

- Able to implement automated testing platforms and unit test, leveraging tools like RSpec for high code quality.

- Should have experience in health care industry or working with sensitive, compliance-driven data (e., HIPAA).

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 4+ years experience with Ruby on Rails and Should have experience in health care industry.

- Stack : Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, PostgreSQL/MySQL, HTML, CSS.

- Cloud/DevOps : Strong Experience in AWS services and Docker, and Strong Experience in CI/CD tools.

- Architecture : Solid understanding of OOP, MVC, Solid design pattern, and RESTful principles.

- Testing : Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit test (RSpec).

Preferred Skills :

- Working experience with specific integrations (Acuity Scheduler, Athena APIs, Light Beam, Sendbird, Sendgrid, Sidekiq).

- Experience with a modern JavaScript front-end framework (e., React, Vue, Angular).

- Experience managing background jobs using Sidekiq or Resque.
