Detailed Job Description :

Database Administration :

- Manage Oracle databases in production environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle standalone and RAC databases.

AWS RDS Management :

- Handle AWS RDS instances, including instance migration, upgrades, snapshots, cloning, and restoration.

Performance Tuning :

- Utilize tools like OEM, AWR, ADDM, ASH, SQL tuning advisor, SQL access advisor, SQL profile, SQL baseline, and resource management for performance optimization.

Backup and Recovery :

- Implement backup and recovery strategies using Data Pump, RMAN, and Transportable Tablespaces.

Security :

- Ensure database security, manage user access, and maintain compliance with security policies.

Disaster Recovery :

- Design and implement disaster recovery solutions.

Automation :

- Automate routine tasks using Shell scripts, Jenkins, Python, etc.

Monitoring :

- Monitor database performance and health, and respond to alerts and issues promptly.

Secondary Skills :

PostgreSQL and MySQL :

- Experience in managing PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.

AWS Services :

- Knowledge of AWS S3, EC2, and DMS.

Operating Systems :

- Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.

Schema and Tablespace Management :

- Manage database schemas and tablespaces.
